Stena Line, Greater Anglia and Netherlands Railways reserve the right to make minor changes to all products up to 36 hours prior to departure and cannot accept any liability for any inaccuracy in the information contained in these terms and conditions, which may be subject to alterations without notice. For full terms and conditions of travel onboard Stena Line ferries, please refer to the current edition of Stena Line's Ferry Guide. Your final destination must be stated at time of booking.

Tickets are not valid for alternative destinations or routes. Our fares start at €69 single and terms and conditions apply. For bookings paid for by credit card, made by phone or at a travel agent, additional fees may apply.


Advance single 'Dutchflyer' fares are available only in standard accommodation from any Greater Anglia station and Harwich International and in second class accommodation on NS Railway (Nederlandse Spoorwegen) trains between Hook of Holland and your destination in the Netherlands.

Please note, Rail & Sail train tickets are not valid on private carriers including: Arriva, Breng, Connexxion, Syntus and Thalys. There's an additional charge for Intercity Direct and ICE trains.


The 'Dutchflyer' fare does not include travel on Dutch high speed rail services. Should you choose to travel on this method of transport, additional fees will be payable for your journey.


Availability is limited, particularly at busy times. For the cheapest fare of €69, you must book your outward and return journeys at least 14 full days in advance of your outward journey.


Travel must be on the dates and times shown on the ticket. No break in the journey is allowed other than to join connecting services. There is no reduction on the Advance fare for Railcard holders. Children aged 5-15 inclusive pay 50% of the available fare. If you travel on a different train or ferry to that shown on your ticket it will be invalid, and a full single fare will be payable.


Advance ticket refunds and change of travel arrangements:

Travel Plan Changes
a) Provided the origin and destination stations remain the same, changes to tickets can be made at least 14 days in advance of the outward travel date, upon payment of a €15 administration fee plus any increase in fare between the cost of the original journey and your amended travel dates. No refund will be given if an amendment results in a price decrease.


a) There is no refund value on any 'Dutchflyer' product, but in the event of the cancellation of the service on which the reservation has been made, you will have the option for a full refund (as set out in the National Rail Conditions of Carriage).

b) Refunds can only be obtained from the point of purchase.


Travel Conditions
The transport of passengers, their luggage and vehicles is carried out in accordance with the travel conditions of Stena Line BV, registry of which is filed with the District Court in Rotterdam, unless the convention of international transport of travellers and their luggage per railway (CIV) is valid. The travel conditions are available for perusal at the office and onboard the ships of Stena Line BV.


Onboard cabins

Prices vary according to travel dates and are subject to availability. Prices are per cabin per night, including tax. and are compulsory when traveling on overnight ferry sailings.

The 'Dutchflyer' may on occasions collect personal information from visitors to our site on a voluntary basis. Such personal information may include name, title, address, phone number, email etc. This individual information is used by the 'Dutchflyer' to process transactions initiated by our customers, for marketing our products and services or market research. We do not sell, rent or transmit personal information to other organisations.


When such data is voluntarily provided it may also be used to help us refine or customise our website to better meet customer needs. The intention is to ensure that site visitors only see data which they are entitled to, or wish to, see. In other words, it allows us to protect the privacy and commercial confidentiality of data derived from our normal business transactions while also meeting the needs of site visitors.


When personal information is provided to the 'Dutchflyer', it is secured on a server with restricted access. Only designated employees or agents who are required to carry out legitimate business functions are permitted to view your personal data. Employees or agents who violate our privacy policies are subject to disciplinary procedures up to and including employment termination.


Our Web server does not automatically recognise or capture information regarding the e-mail address of any visitor to our website. What is collected automatically is the original domain and what the site visitor does within the site, pages are accessed, the duration of visits, and what paths are followed within the site. This information is only available to staff in an aggregated form.


The 'Dutchflyer' considers that the individual's information remains confidential. Our policy is to not disclose any personal information to third parties unless it needs to be released by law or is pertinent to judicial or government investigations or proceedings.
