If you are travelling from the London and the South it will take between 5 and 6 hours driving by car. There is a Travelodge hotel in Holyhead town centre and there are other hotels and supermarkets in the locality. Parking Lot There is a large long stay parking lot available with a park and ride facility servicing the main Terminal 1. How to get to Cainryan Port By Car The Loch Ryan Port in Cairnryan is located approximately an 1 hour's drive to Ayr, 2 hours to Glasgow and 3 hours to Edinburgh. There is a large car parking lot with over 300 spaces situated in front of the main terminal building. You can pay for the car parking lot using cash through the pay stations or by credit card in the travel centre. It is also possible to pay onboard our ferry at the guest services desk prior to arrival. The port is clearly sign posted as "Stena Line" on all expressways and roads in the vicinity to help you find us hassle free. Parking Lot There are long and short stay car parking lots available close to the main ferry terminal. It you do wish to leave your car at the port, please inform a member of check in staff that your vehicle will be left in the parking lot. Parking spaces are limited and they are on a first come, first served basis. By Train The Birkenhead Hamilton Square Railway Station is a 15 minute walk from the main terminal building. From here you can take trains to various UK destinations including, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London.
