What payment methods and currencies can be used onboard?

Almost all ferries between the UK, Ireland and Holland accept payments in euros and local currency such as pounds sterling (please check the route and country currency before you travel). Payments can be made with cash, credit cards and debit cards. Prices on the Stena Britannica and Hollandica are displayed in euros but payments can be made in GBP currency.  Prices on our routes to and from Britain are displayed in GBP but payment can be made in Euros (or by credit/debit card too).

The ferries on the routes between Denmark - Sweden, Germany - Latvia, Germany - Sweden and Sweden - Latvia are cashless . This means that you can only pay for your purchases onboard with a credit card or with a debit card. Cash payment is only accepted in the casino and slot machines (where these facilities are available).
