What payment methods and currencies can be used onboard?

Almost all ships between the UK, Ireland and Holland accept payments in euros and local currency such as pounds sterling (please check the route and country currency before you travel). Payments can be made with cash, credit cards and debit cards with a Maestro logo. Prices on the Stena Britannica and Hollandica are displayed in euros but payments can be made in GBP currency.  Prices on our routes to and from Britain are displayed in GBP but payment can be made in Euros (or by credit/debit card too).

 

The ships on the routes between Cherbourg – Rosslare, Denmark - Sweden, Germany - Latvia, Germany - Sweden, Sweden - Latvia, Sweden - Finland and Poland - Sweden are cashless . This means that you can only pay for your purchases onboard with a credit card or with a debit card with the Maestro logo. Cash payment is only accepted in the casino and slot machines (where these facilities are available).

 

Our cashless ships are: Stena Horizon (Cherbourg – Rosslare), Stena Danica, Stena Jutlandica and Stena Vinga (Frederikshavn - Gothenburg), Stena Nautica (Grenaa - Halmstad), Stena Livia and Stena Flavia (Travemünde - Liepāja), Stena Baltica and Stana Scandica (Nynäshamn - Ventspils ), Urd and Stena Gothica (Nynäshamn - Hanko), Stena Germanica and Stena Scandinavica (Kiel - Gothenburg) ,Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Skåne (Rostock - Trelleborg), Stena Nordica, Stena Spirit and Stena Vision (Gdynia - Karlskrona).
