Discover Sweden - travel Rostock to Trelleborg

Take the ferry from Rostock to Trelleborg and you’ll arrive in the southernmost town in Sweden. From there it's only a short drive to the Scandinavian cities of Malmö and Copenhagen. Explorers will love the west coast drive through Halmstad, Gothenburg and further afield to Oslo.

There's lots to see and do in Trelleborg so make sure to spend some time checking out this great city, known for being the only city in Sweden to have an avenue lined with palm trees.. Close to the ferry terminal, you'll find one of the city's most beautiful attractions -  a former Viking fortress. With museums, art galleries and great shopping you'll have so much to keep you entertained when you visit.  

 

Trelleborg to Rostock - it's easy by car

When you take the ferry from Trelleborg to Rostock you’ll arrive into a lively port city with so much to enjoy.  Rostock has a great cultural scene and is renowned for its food and great shopping. If you want to explore a little further afield the autobahn is within easy reach allowing you to visit Hamburg in just 2 hours and Berlin in just 3 hours.

Rostock is a wonderful city with great shopping, restaurants, small breweries and an exceptional night life. The city is home to one of the world's oldest universities. The city has seven churches, including the imposing Gothic brick churches of St. Mary and St. Peter; the number 7 has always been associated with Rostock. The coastline is known for its beautiful beaches. Only a short distance from the city centre you’ll find Rostock's very own beach resort, Warnemünde, consisting of 15km of beautiful white sandy beaches.
